Default Scope problem

My brohter is having problems with a Bushnell 6-18x50 AO scope on a Marlin 917 VS. He is hitting 4 inches to the left at 30 yards with no more adjustment left. Is there anything he can do to fix this.

i would guess that either your bases are crap or the drillings aren't centered on the receiver.

4" off at 30 yds? The scope has to be sitting crooked on the barrel. Check the mounts and see if you have any adjustment to align it with the barrel.

Are both ring on the same way ? ( screw to tighten )
If not do that .
If the rings are on the same ,many times if you turn 1 around it will move of impact ,i am not sure witch 1 to flip ( trial and error)
On some rings you can file on the claw that grabs the base to move POI. ,if not you may be able to remove some off 1 side of a base.
If I remember right 1 thou. on a ring = 1 inch at 100 yds

Try buying some rings with windage adjustments, and use them to center the scope on the barrel.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. He finally got it. I am very impressed with this rifle, thinking of buying one myself. Again thanks everyone.
