Partner rifescope (WalMart) manufacturer?

My dad bought a Partner SE 3x12x44 scope from WalMart. It says made in ***an. I know Wally World has private line merchandise made by big companies-- anyone know who makes the Partner scope? The logo is a red "R" inside a crosshair. Just trying to help him figure out if he bought a decent scope (he got a good buy on it). Thanks!

Might be made by Redfield& Busnell since they are of one now.

i believe vangunsmith is right about being a redfield. i have a redfield and they seem to be ok. the scopes made in ***an and asia are usually some of the better made ones.

Redfield is actually owned by Meade
who also ownes Simmons & Weaver
I also hear that Redfield is undergoing MAJOR changes and will once again be in the premium scope market.
