Yeah Dicks just bought out one of my favorite stores here in Texas, Galyans. I noticed thay had very few handguns left and asked what the deal was. I was told that Dicks does not sell or even support the sale of handguns.

Looks like it's time to find a different place to shop then Dick's.We don't have them here. I was in Cincinnati a couple years ago. I went in a D.S.G.I noticed they didn't have handguns. I didn't know they wanted to infringe on your rights.That's one store I'll never step foot in again.

I actually used to work at Dick's in the Lodge department last summer in Mason, Ohio. The only thing we sold that was related to handguns was ammo. It bothered quite a few customers. There is a huge market for handguns; I don't see why Dick's would'nt want to tap into that. Although, while I was still working there, the district manager claimed that corporate was conisdering to start selling them - however, that doesn't appear to be the case now.

Before anyone goes calling for a boycott, make sure you check out the whole site. Seems that Dicks is not on the corporate or company lists. They apparently just dont want anyone packing on their property. My guess is they're afraid of getting robbed. Which i gotta say i can understand on their part. but they have a clear financial interest in the continued sale and ownership of firearms.

Dicks is about as useless a sporting goods store one can find anyway. They rival Walmart in basic gun clerk knowldge(zip zero nada)coincidentally WalMart doesn't sell handguns at all at least in my area.

I second those sentiments and facts, they are useless. I have wondered in the past why WalMart sells shotguns and rifles but not handguns, weird.

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Maybe someone can explain.

So a company that serves the public cannot discriminate, must provide bathroom facilities, must provide water at no cost yet has the right to refuse entry to those carry a legally concealed weapon.
