Default Please help me find this rifle

I really fell in love with the 7mm (7x57) Mauser and I have been looking for one for a long time. I shot my friends during hunting seasons and loved it. If anyone finds one or has one for sale or trade please tell me.

Melissa,

Ruger made their bolt action rifle in 7mm Mauser for years, and only recently stopped
chambering the model 77 for it. Your local dealer may still be able to find one. Also, Ruger still chambers their single shot, #1, for 7x57 in couple variations.
I believe CZ also makes rifles chambered for the 7x57.
Another option is to find one on one of the gun auction websites. I've purchased several
guns this way, and not had any problems.

My wife bought me a Ruger M77 in 7x57 for an anniversary gift. Shot it for the first time today. It is not for sale or trade.

I don't think Rugers are that hard to find. I was recently in a shop in central Maine that had 4-5 used ones for sale ($400-$450 range) and a couple of new ones.

Yes, they have it listed on their web page, but it has been dropped from their catalog in the 77R bolt action. I just received a copy of the 2005 catalog, and it's gone, except in the Ruger #1. But, there should still be some out there/available. It's just a little difficult to find 'em sometimes. They do turn up on the gun auction websites quite frequently - if not Ruger, then Winchester or others in 7x57. It's still a fairly popular cartridge. Just takes a little time to locate one.
Of course, another option is a rifle chambered for 6.5x55 Swede. It's available now from
Ruger, Winchester, CZ, and others. Standard cartridge uses a 140gr. bullet which is the
same as used in most 7mm Mauser loadings. It's a very mild cartridge too - I think less recoil than the 7mm, and just as effective.

Ruger's is discontinued, although my wholesaler has some in stock. $505 delivered, new in the box. 77RMKII Mark II, walnut stock, hand checkered 3 position safety, integral dovetail bases, and Ruger rings.

I can only ship to a FFL (gunshop, gunsmith, pawnshop, etc.), so you would have to make arrangements with them to accept the shipment. They may charge a small fee to do so. I would need a copy of their FFL, signed in ink and, of course, payment. I can provide references.

There are so many calibers out there that is just about identical to the 7mm that you should be able find something if you can't find the 7mm.
