Default Handgun scopes

Weaver, burris, nikon???? probably a 2x or 4x mounted on a Ruger SBH Hunter.

Leupold is a bit out of my range.

Any suggestions for others?

the only suggestion i'll give you is go with the 2X, i got a fixed 4X leupold on my encore and sometimes taget accusition is , well different from a rifle, i was advised to get a lower power scope but thought i knew more than the salesman[:@], oh yea out of you choices i like nikon the best and burris the least, i had a problem burris once.

best of luck

I'd also go with the 2X. Off-handed, a 4X can be very hard to hold steady. I have both a Burris and two Nikons and I'd have to go with the Nikon. The Burris hasn't given me any trouble, but I do prefer the Nikons for clarity and brightness.

I've got the same gun and put a 2X Leupold on it. Really like it, I think the 4X is too much. I got my scope used on ebay for $130, a little scuffed where the rings were but my rings cover that up, otherwise it is a great scope and has the Leupold warranty...
