Default Hey tikka owners

I need a little help. I picked up a Tikka Whitetail Hunter in 300 win mag stainless. It doesn't have scope rings. Could some one tell me what hieght rings I need for a 3-9x40 scope? Also are the tikka-sako factory rings sufficient for this caliber? Thanks for your help. Mark

just got the 7mm rem Tikka, so not quite as much pop as yours, but from everything I've read the factory mounts should be just fine. I was leaning toward remington, ruger, browning, and for the money my dealer said Tikka far outweighed the others. I can't imagine them producing poor quality mounts.

I"™m not 100% sure but I think Tikka and Sako Rings are the same design. If so you would require the low rings for your 40mm obj. lens. I find that the base and rings are very well made and should handle your 300 without any problems. Double check with your supplier on the height before buying them, just to make sure. Good Luck...............
