Default 311A Stevens 12 gauge

How can you tell how old and how much a gun is worth out a serial number. I was told between 1948 and 1968 did not have a serial number.

A Stevens 311 is worth about $80.00.

Not trying to make you feel bad but they are a dime a dozen. There are hundreds of thousands of them out there. They didn't cost much to begin with and they still don't cost much.

I have no idea how old it is...but they 12ga's go for about $125-$150 or so here if they're in decent shape.

I picked up 2 last year in .410 caliber, and I paid $425 total for both. The .410's fetch a little higher price.

I was just checking, it was given to me and I just wanted to know. I am going to clean it up and use it.
