Default Who actually removes their box magazine?

DONT ask me why I was wonderin about this but earlier today I thought too myself, "I have all these detachable box magazines yet other than to clean or unload the gun I NEVER remove the clips". I am to forgetful and accident prone to trust EVER putting a magazine in any location (especially a pocket) other than back in the gun. [:@]

Just curious,
RA

I love how the Browning A-Bolts have the detachable magazine on the floor plate, but come to think of it....I never take it off. I just flip it down I load it up.

I have two clips for my A-Bolt. Never had to do a clip reload though It is nice to be able to keep the loaded clip in my pocket and the rifle empty around the camp or driving on the road without dumping the rounds at loose.

RA. You too huh? I took the Magazine out of my 7600 the first night of season. I loaded it single shot the rest of the season. Yep stuck it in my pocket and lost it. I found it again on the last day of season. I never unhook the one in My A-Bolt.

I take it on and off for cleaning, and to check my reloads to make sure the bullets are seated deep enough to fit. I also take it out a lot when I'm shooting some new experimental loads at the bench, leaving my regular ammo in the clip.

I"™ve been hunting for years with a rifle that had a floor plate. Always found it to be a pain in the butt to unload. In December I purchased a new rifle with a removable clip. I"™m going to get a second clip just in case but the clip will always be coming out to unload. Looking forward to next season...

In Saskatchewan it is illegal to have a shell(s) in any magazine attached to a firearm while being transported by a motorized vehicle (Truck, ATV, Boat, etc). As such my DM's are removed lots, which does prove some worth vs a pocket of loose shells from my stand point.
