Default Gun storage with a gun cover

I have put a camoflauge neoprene cover on my new rifle. It is an A-bolt stainless stalker. I do alot of walking in some pretty thick areas and I didn't want it to get all scratched and banged up. I figure when you have $1300+ invested in a gun it is a good idea to try to take good care of it.

My question is, will it hurt anything if I leave the cover on the gun after gun season is over this weekend? I don't usually shoot much from the end of season until about June, so it will be put up for several months. Do I need to worry about rust ory anything like that?

Thanks for the info.

Neoprene will hold moisture. Take it off when you're through hunting.

Take it off after season, pretty much anything you put on the gun will hold moisture, neoprene or otherwise, which is never good. Taking it off also assures that it'll fit tightly next time, instead of loosen with age from being continually stretched.
