Default 695 Bolt Action Shotgun Mossberg

I went to the gun shop today and found this used 695 Bolt Action Shotgun for like $295. It look to be in very good condition. Is this a decient price, I thought it was kinda high. What do you think would be a good price for this gun?

i think that might be a little high but i don't know too much about them. i would expect to pay about 250-275 around where i am.

I think you can find one cheaper, and I would look for a Savage or Marlin 512 and not even consider the mossburg.if you can find a Browning Abolt used that's the best way to go.I have a Browning and had a Marlin before that.the Mossburg is junk IMO and kicks like an elephant gun.good luck

I know I had a mossberg 500 it was junk and kicked like no other, but the only reason I was looking at the bolt mossberg is because it is older and most things that are older are made better.

the model 500-s i would consider them work horses and not all of them junk.i owned a remington 1187 and got rid of it due to hang ups and other issues.i had a 695 and it was very accurate. im pretty sure you can still get a new one. i bought mine several years ago for like 250$ my buddy has the savage and its been back for repair twice due to spring and firing pin issues but he may be the only one having that problem.boittom line is there are good and bad in all the models. you just have to buy the right one.
