Default Rust

I have a little rust spot on my new 30-39 Marlin. Does anyone know how I can remove the rust without damaging the blueing?
Thanks Chuck

Default RE: Rust

That's a shame, Depending how bad it is. I would suggest getting some 4 ought (0000) steelwool. Using the SW saturated with WD40, lightly rub the spot. I've heard of using a pencil eraser, but have never tried it. To prevent this from happening again buy some RIG and wipe it down with that.It sure doesn't take long for rust to ruin a nice gun.
