Browning Lever Action

can anyone tell me how the BLR compares to a bolt action? i don't know anything about them but i'm sure people here do.

I have a BLR in 308. Of all the rifles I've ever had, it is my favorite.

The BLR is esentially a bolt action rifle that works on a lever. It's mechanical workings are not like the marlin or winchester lever actions.

It is extremely accurate, and due to it's box magazine it can hold pointed bullets.

Obviously it cycles much quicker than a bolt action, yet doesn't compromise accuracy.

Additionally, the lever action is much smoother than a marlin or winchester.

If you go with a Browning BLR, make sure it has a good trigger. I had a friend who owned a BLR that had the worst trigger I ever felt, and it is almost impossible to find a gunsmith to work on it. Good luck.

I believe that is the first positive post I have ever seen for a BLR. I gave mine to my cat and it covered it up .
