Default Replacement of Remington 7400 barrel

Can you have the 7400 autoloader barrel replaced? Was looking to have one replaced with a 35 whelen chamber.

Default RE: Replacement of Remington 7400 barrel

Sure only problem is finding somone to attach your gas port correctly. But I believe its a typical screw in barrel. Another problem is finding someone with the expertise to set your headspace and chamber right for proper feeding. I don't know any gunsmith that customizes the 7400. I sure they could do it with trial and error, but I imagine you want someone to do it right the first tiem.

One thing you could do is have your barrel on there now rerifled. Would be cheaper also.
