Please believe me, my ability to build rifles is greater then my ability to post pictures but they are availably on
MaineWhitetails@groups.msn.com go to pictures and click on Juds pictures, it is on pase 3. The cartridge I am refering to is based on the .416Rigby necked down to .366 diameter or 9.3mm. It is a direct neck down with no other changes so fire forming is not required. I am pleased to say that it can be found in the tenth edition of Cartridges of the World on page 201. To sum it up it will push 250 grain bullets at 3253 and 300 grain slugs at 2910. I have built 5 rifles for this cartridge and it is up to 63 one shot kills the biggest being a 1250 pound Eland which I shot and the smallest being a Springbok which I also shot and weightd about 110 pounds. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying that you need 5775 foot pounds of energy for the small stuff, but that is better then a .204 for the big stuff.
