I guess looking at the website would have helped solve a dumb post, but I can't wait. I can only dream it will be a .358......

Its going to be the 308 Winchester. A week or so ago I was talking to a "tech/rep" at Remington about a problem with a model 870. I asked what the "Classic" was going to be. She told me 308 Win.

I'm anxious to find out too. I managed to find a 2004 Remington 700 Classic in 8x57 mm Mauser last month. I am having a grand time working up a load for it now. It is a bit more plain than my 700 BDL, but the simplicity is elegant in my eyes. For a rifle with a 24" barrel it is remarkably light and handy to carry.
