what is a savage 410 worth???

from what little i know they would be worth (depending on teh condition) about 400-500$. thats just ym guess. sorry i can't be of more help.

I have a similar gun, and I bought it for $279 used about 2 years ago.

The new composite models are about $475 new. I'm currently looking for a 223/12...and they're hard to come by around here.

From what you gave me it should be a model 24 (something) it could be 24C, 24 Field, 24 Synthetic, 24D, 24DL. possibly a model 24 if it is as old as you think (the origional model 24 was discontinued in 1965), there were about 12 - 14 model 24's up to the current time. All of them average around $220 - $250 in excellent condition, certain but few model 24's were up near the $350 mark. If you can post a model and the condition I can give you exact prices according to the Gun Digest.

Model 24F is the only model still in production, LMSR $449

Pro-Line FYI - the book says that the 24F can be had in .223 / 12 Ga, they didn't mention how many were produced or how common they were. You could also look for a model 24F-12T Turkey Gun, also came in .223 / 12ga It was introduced in 1989 and has been discontinued, they did not mention a year. Happy hunting, just think how much you will love that gun once you find it!

On the .223 over 12ga line...I bought a "converter" kit I found at a gunshow...it was an adapter for an AR-15 or M-4 that mounted a 18" Remington 870 underneath the forend and bbl. It was VERY handy and well balanced for what it was. I used it for coyote hunting. The 870's receiver butted up against the magazine well on the AR (teflon buffer so you didn't scratch your gun) and only extended about 3" past the end of the bbl on my AR-15 20". It was kind of heavy for an AR-15, but then again, it only weighed in at about 10-11# (empty vs. loaded), which isn't much more than a loaded and scoped bolt gun, and mine was about 6" shorter than my Ruger Standard Mark II.

I wish I'd have never sold that (those) gun(s), there's just something right about having a 30rnd magazine .223 behind a 8shot 12ga.
