Default 1X scope recommendation

Hello,

I'm looking for any Recommendations on 1X scopes you may have used. This will be for a T/C Omega .50 muzzleloader. In WI we cannot use above a 1 power scope. If you have used one of these and have an opinion either way please let me know.

In that situation, have you considered going without a scope?

Possibly even a red dot scope.

Red dots sre good but you have to remember to turn it on and off and sometimes, when the hunting action is fast, it's hard enough to remember to flick off the safety.[8D]

A good 1X scope would be a... Burris 1X XER/Scout. In fact that's the only one that I know of or could find searching around. All but this one that go to 1X are variables.

I currently use a holosight and had a red dot last year. Both are better than "nothing" The problem with these is at 100 yards the light is too large to make precision shots.

A 1X crosshair is more accurate.

Thanks bigbulls,

Thompson center and Nikon also make them, however, the field is pretty limited.

I would definetly go with the Burris over those two.

The Burris will offer you fully multi coated glass throughout the scope and a one piece tube. Nikon buckmaster has a two piece tube and only the optical glass is multi coated. TC doesn't even tell you about their scopes.
