I have a 308 in the Browning A Bolt light weight composite stalker. Its a fine shooting rifle. Better yet a good friend of mine who I just hunted with last week has had about 50 Browning rifles. He claims that he has never had a bad Browning. He hunts about ten different big game seasons every year and he always uses a Browning rifle and carries a browning back-up in case of a scope failure or some other unlikely problem. Good Luck with yours It should give you many years of good service.

My cousin has the exact rifle you're talking about and he loves it. My dad and uncle also have the Abolt SS's in 30-06 and neither could be happier with them. I've taken my dads out a couple times, I love the action and how the gun balances.

Have a A-bolt Syn Stalker in 30-06. Awesome gun! Top shelf bolt action rifle in every way. Would stongly recommend to anyone in the market for this type of rifle. Gary

Nice guns for the price. Great quality and a short bolt throw to boot.

I've owned one A-Bolt, but sold it after about a year. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't like the stock design or that stylized bolt. In the accuracy department it was on par with my other rifles, but no better. If YOU like it, though, that's all that matters really.

Not a problem with my 7mag SS Abolt. The only complaint is the "ok" trigger but a quick spring kit will fix that.

Good luck,
RA
