I have a Revelation Model 200 Lever Action 30-30
from the Western Auto Supply Company

I believe Marlin made this rifle:
Could anyone help me with information on how to remove the bolt for cleaning. thanks!

I found this information from "Rifles of the World" (copyright 1993 by John Walter). " Marlin Other Patterns: In addition to the rifles marketed under its own and Glenfield names, Marlin has supplied substantal quantities of lever-action rifles to distributers. These have included Western Auto Supply Company ('Revelation') Virtually all the center-fire guns have been Marlin Model 30 or 336 in a variety of patterns". Good luck.

My nieghbor has a Revelation bolt action 30-30, its just a model 340 (?)made by Savage. Excellent piece of wood, looks as tho its never been fired and I know he'll never shoot it. Asked how much it would take to get him to part with it as I have always wanted one of these.

No Chance, his dad bought it brand new for $100 with a 3x9x scope way back when you could go into a hardware store and buy a gun.

Oh well, I'll find one someday.

Check out www.marlinowners.com. Someone will be able to give you the answer in a jiffy. In fact, a quick search will probably reveal several posts on the topic.

I was at the local shop today and they have a revelation model 204 I think it was. Looked a lot like a browning BLR, with trigger attached to loop, etc. It was in pretty rough shape though.

You know, since my reply I saw one of these rifles in a pawn shop. It's actually a Mossberg, not a Marlin. They look a lot alike, but the differences (as mentioned in a previous reply) distinguish the rifle from a Marlin.
