Default Preparations for first hunt

I just bought a beretta urika optima yesterday, and I was wondering if there is anything I need to do to it before taking out this weekend. I have heard of people cleaning them first or oiling them. Is this necessary? Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Chris

Default RE: Preparations for firtst hunt

Gun should be free of oil when you go hunting. You may want to clean it between hunts. Don't forget extra socks.
