RE: Regular to Youth??
Last I knew, the only difference on the 870 youth model was the bbl length and the stock length...unless they've changed something that I don't know about that made the forend closer to the receiver (for shorter arms), that's the only differences...In which case the forends would be the same, just the operating arms would be shorter....
I have also seen, not used, special "short armed" forends that are shaped kinda like the Benelli Nova forend...when fully open, they extend a bit over the receiver, basically, it's an elongated forend, shorter armed shooters don't have to reach as far to get to the center of the grip...I've not seen one of these for the 870 though.
For all it's worth, unless you want to convert it back later, take your stock to a gunsmith (or your garage) and have them cut an inch or 1.5" off the butt. Or you could have a gunsmith "fit" the stock and cut it to the appropriate length for your "youth".
