Jay, like ruger redhawk said, if its a 29-2, its not stainless. If its shiney and has 29-2 stamped on it, its nickel. In this part of the country, it will bring you more cash than a stainless one will. Smith quit using nickel around '89 and they've become somewhat of a collector's item. With your's being the long barrel, it'll bring the most. In the condition you say it is, it wouldn't be any problem fetching $500 or more for it around here. Good luck, if you decide to sell. If I were you, I'd hang on to it. Its only going to go up in value.
