I haven't seen a S&W rifle around here in some time. Though they were made by http://www.legacysports.com / Howa. Howa also makes the Weatherby Vanguard and the ones I have shot are nice rifles. I see the Howas and Vanguards around here for about $400 though every now and then $350 on sale.

Smith discontinued these guns in 1984 and I saw one recently for $325.00.
