Default Browning BLR Triggers

Is there anything that can be done to improve the trigger on the Browning Lever Action?? I love mine (308 cal) - but the trigger is heavy and has lots of travel. I can not find a gunsmith that will touch it. Are there any aftermarket triggers??

NOt much can be done to it, if it is really objectionable call Browning on their 800 number and find out if they can do something about it. They will mess with Autoloaders if the pull weight is 5 lbs or more give them a call and find out

A friend had a BLR, and it had the worst trigger I have ever felt. We talked to Browning who said, "The gun is for hunting not for bench rest shooting". We could not find anyone to work on it, but I think a guy named Andy Mason owner of Mountian Dog Gunsmithing (505-756-2331) in Chama, NM would work on it. Good luck.

I used to own a BLR in 308 as well, and just like yours, the trigger pull was very heavy and had a lot of creep and I couldn't get any gunsmith around to touch it! I got rid of it for that very reason.

I now own a Browning BAR Safari in 30-06 and just love it. My gunsmith did an excellent trigger job on her and now she's got a 2 1/2Lb pull that is clean and crisp and will shoot average 3/4" groups @ 100Yds.
