.22 long rifle tracer ammo

I see it in catalogs all the time. Cabela's comes to mind, as does the Sportsman's Guide. I've never seen it in a gun shop though, except for some military surplus dealers at a gun show.

If all else fails, run a search in Google.

I saw some at cabelas website but not at the store in dundee, i got a new ruger 10/22 carbine it was $150.00, i just need alot of ammo, i realy use a lot of ammo i just though it would be fun to see how it shoots. It is a semi-auto too.

I have bought it at gun shows. Look for a FireQuest, Delta Press, or Delta Force catalog or website. I believe FireQuest is affiliated w/ Delta Press. Anyway, they have lots of unusual ammo.

Well, forget these three, I just checked and they have a lot of exotic 12 ga. but not 22 lr.

is a tracer round a actual bullet that lights but , or what is it exactly, and what would happen if you shot a gopher with one for example?

a tracer round is packed with phosphorous which is ignited by the gun powder And burns very hot which is the light you see at night when shooting tracers

Just a fun fact-
If you have a scoped .22 and shoot it from a steady rest with the sun behind your back, you should be able to see the bullets fly down range if you are shooting at distances beyond 100 yards.
