RE: predator newbie
Like he said, if your stock is badly damaged, it needs replacing, if it's just scratched and beat up, it just needs refinishing...likely your rifle would too if this is the case. You can sand it down and refinish with furniture finish and polish if you need to.
I'm assuming you're really thinking about swapping the stock to get a more accurate rifle, which might be a good idea, but not really necessary for coyotes. The .22-250 is a short action. Personally, if there's nothing functionally wrong with your stock, I'd use the money on a good harris bipod and a higher magnification scope...3-12x40 isn't bad, I'd prefer a 4-16x42mm or 6-20x52mm for coyotes, but that's mostly because my "coyote rifles" are really "varmint rifles", which serve duties often at p-dog towns at 300yrds.
You also might look into bedding and freefloating your rifle, if your accuracy isn't exactly what you want (and it's not your fault that it's bad).
If you like, you can sand down the forend of your stock to give it a flatter belly for sitting on bags.
