Default Is the Accutrigger really worth it?

What is the big deal about the accutrigger? I know very little about them, but I have a savage striker that doesn't have one. Would it really make that big of a difference if I put one on it?

Would it help improve your accuracy , quite possible but not guaranteed . Would the improved accuracy merit the cost thats for you to decide . A trigger job on one of my rifles helps but what its worth is something I had to decide for myself . To me YES .

According to Savage you can't retrofit and older rifle with the Accutrigger. Short of buying a new rifle you'd need to look at one of the after-market triggers.

I have the 11FL savage with the accu-trigger in a 300wsm. I tell you i absolutely love it. easy to adjust and no creep.

Everything I hear is that the trigger is accurate and slick. The thing that would concern me up in these parts (Minnesota) would be the possibility of the thing freezing-up. When I got my buck last year, it was sleeting and my entire rifle was covered in a sheet of ice. Best of luck!

I don't know that I'd go through the trouble of putting one on a gun I already had, but I certainly won't buy another Savage without one!!! The biggest advantage, from my personal opinion, is the ease of adjustability...I can tone it down to a breath for targets, or bump it up to a few pounds for hunting.

The Savage Accutrigger cannot be retrofitted to previous rifles. The receivers are different.
