Default Federal Premium Vital-Shok

I have been thinking of switching over NOSLER Partitions. I don't load my own, so I was thinking of trying the Federal Premium Vital-Shok chambered in 7MM Rem. Mag. 160GR.

I have been shooting Rem. CORE-LOKT's and my gun shoots them very well. I have read, and heard from people on this forum about the NOSLER Partitions and would like to try them. The Rem. ammo that I have been shooting is also 160GR. Do you guys think that it will change my sight in that much?

The Noslers should shoot a little flatter, but if I had to guess - they probably wouldn't change your point of impact by more than 1 MOA.

One thing about the ballistic tips..............at close range or on heavy skinned game - they can disintegrate on impact (personal experience on hogs). So if you shoot that type of game or conditions, I'd opt for the bonded versions on the ballistic tips.

Thanks a lot guys. I picked up a box of the Federals on my way home yesterday. I can't wait to see how they fly.

The nice thing about partitions is that they will open up on even small animals, leaving a nice exit wound.
This is overlooked all too often!!

The two reasons i don't switch from NP's is the fact that the nose expands "quite easily", yet the base "drives deeper" than most any other expanding bullet!! Put those two together, and it makes for one of the GREATEST bullets ever!!

My wife thinks I'm crazy. She says she has never seen or heard of anyone getting so excited over a bullet. I can't wait until Friday when I can go to the range. C'mon Friday.
