Yes, CZ makes a very good quality rifle. The barrels are hand lapped according to their website.

I just got a new CZ550 AMerican in 6.5x55 Swede. With cheap PMC factory loads (139 rg PSP) it holds 5 shot groups at or under one inch at 100 yards, honest to Pete. It's a great confidence builder!

The wood is pretty, the finish is too, and it comes with scope rings and mounts. It has a single set trigger feature that I like at the range but would not hunt with (~1 lb, SCARY.) The regular trigger pull is a creepy 4 lbs. The gun has a 24" barrel, and with my Zeiss Conquest Scope is heavy, almost 10 pounds, but I don't plan to use it as a mountain rifle.

I will definitely buy another CZ rifle, maybe a 7x57. They sell them in good ol' US calibers too, by the way.

I think they are great rifles. I own one myself and it can easily produce well under 1 MOA at 100yrds. Action needs to bbe worn a bit to make them smoother though.

Are tey good rifles? Just look at how my CZ 527 carbine in 7.62X39mm shoots. the top group is a Win. factory loaded 123-grain FMJ I shot three of to see how fast they go. The lower one is a 150-grain Sierra .308" spitzer @ 2300 FPS MV. This rifle has a .311" groove, and shoots .311" bullets BETTER THAN .308" BULLETS!!
