My favorites change like the weather. However I have always had a 250 Savage or 257 Roberts. I have always had a 30-06; 6.5x55 Swedish and almost always a 280. and 308. I have killed about an equal amount of deer with the 308 and 6.5x55 followed close by the 30-06. I have shot deer with another 15 or so calibers over the years including 30-30 30-40 35 Rem 44 Mag 223 22-250 and even a 22 Hornet which was not legal at the time. I didn't know it until that season was over. I shot my first with a 30-06 and my last with a 50 caliber muzzle loader. I have three 6.5x55 mausers and a few 303 british and the 7.62x54 Russians. I couldn't go into a deer season without the Old Swede.
mine must be something in the 7mm cal because i got a 7mm-08, 7mm mag and a 7mm stw, but here lately i've been shooting a 260, heck i don't know i like'em all my m/l and the stick and string, i know someone needs to come up with a muzzle loading 7mm bowthats got to be it!!!!!!!
