Just bought myself a Ruger Compact.

Just left a friends house, and ended up buying his Ruger Compact 308 cal. for $375.00.

I was woundering what the pros and cons were for this round in such a short rifle?

I have this same gun in the 243 cal. and it does nicely out to 200 yards, just woundering about the 308 cal.

I have an old Rem mod. 6 that is about the same size as this in the 308. do you think that they will be about the same? (Shooting wise)

Probably has a bit of muzzle blast but I have heard they shoot extremely well. Good price on it as well

Well I ended up buying the scope that was on it for $325.

I bet you will never guess what it is.

Who would of ever thought, that after all of the scopes I would get . That it would be anouther Leupold.

Since I got my other scope fixed

, and put on by my gunsmith. It has been a pretty good scope.

Have not had a problem one with it sense.

That would be a real good match for that rifle since it is compact and has good glass.

i have a ruger1 that is small but have never heard of a ruger compact.what do they look like?

It has a 16.5 " barrel and a four round magazine ,comes in 223 ,243 ,260 Rem and 308 win. A lightweight gun .

Saw one of those at my local shop.I almost had to have it.

It has a good ,quick handling feel to it.

I have the SS LS version of this little jewel.

Looking forward to useing it as a light weight mountain gun. I like to hunt those high goats, and figured that this will take alot of the work out of things, as far as the packing part. I will find out soon though.
