Default Tried to buy US made.... and couldn't!

Oh good grief. My young adult son in Kansas says he wants to hunt the Missouri rifle season, so I call the dealers in our esteemed capitol city to see if they have a .308 winchester in stock in Remington or Winchester. Well, no. But they could order one. So I get in the shop and discover, low and behold, their distributors don't have any on hand! Oh, give me a break. One of the most common calibers carried. So we fished and we figured, so now I have a Tikka coming in 308.

So Bambi is gonna get busted by a Finnish rifle.

Heh, heh. I think what got him going is that I used to have a .338 scoped sako when he was a kid. I actually sold that off before I thought he was big enough to shoot it without having a bad recoil experience. I think that is why he wants to shoot bolts. He is a big guy now, over 6-2, and we were out in the Chipperwa last week and then he put some 45-70-405 rounds though my 1895 Marlin. Just not a problem for him. That's when the deer thing came up. When I was a kid, I almost never saw deer. But state DNR's worked on getting them back. Now they are hard to miss on the highway.
