Default quick shock

anyone use the CCI quick shock loads in 22lr?? i been shooting stingers and they work nicely for my needs.....but dont seem to open up much.....i head shot a woodchuck the other day and it went right through......these quickshocks are loaded same as a stinger but fragment into 4 large pieces...i want to shoot squirrels and the occassional rabbit this year....and i think something that opens nice will anchor them better.....but like the speed of the stinger......shoots better farther out......and i like shooting squirrels far off with the 22......anyone use them? they work nice? thanx

I've never used anything better than standard long rifles and in solid 40 grain style for Squirrels.....even hollow points are too much because they can tear up the body too much for making good stews.

Shoot them in the eye and they come out of the tallest trees you have......and with very little damage and very dead. Accuracy is the key word here.....not power or ballistic fragmentation.....

im dead accurate with my 22....i cant remember the last squirrel i hit in the body.....but id like the bullet to do a little more when it hits them.....and i think the fragments will travel alot less then a solid bullet coming out.....just like to be safe.....ive used regular shells and hollowpoints and never had a problem killing them.....but i dont know....saw the quikshocks and thought they would be nice for small game.......and maybe safer around here.....

Bolt action or single shot may be fine but I could not get them to cycle in an autoloader (10/22, Win. 74, and Ruger 22/45).
