RE: New shotgun
Benelli Nova. I generally prefer American made guns, but the Nova has the best features on the market. It includes a shell stop, which allows you to empty the chamber while leaving the magazine loaded. The Nova will shoot anything in 12 gauge: 2 3/4"-3 1/2", birdshot, buckshot, slug, you name it. And accessories like an optional 2 shot magazine extension (Winchester is the only other company that accepts an extension. Remington changed their gun design, so you can't add one without drilling two holes in your shotgun.)
A major disadvantage though is that it has a lot of recoil for a 12 gauge. You can add a mercury recoil reducer, but with the bracket and the reducer, it'll cost about $55.
