All Leupolds are (currently all dating back to mid 80's) on all my hunting rifles. All are still mounted on my hunting rifles. I do have Ziess Conquest scopes, that I just purchased over the holidays they are still in their boxes waiting to replace each and every Leupold, that I have mounted on my hunting rifles. I am so busy at work, and travelling so much, I hope I get a chance to replace them all, if any by a resonabile time to sight in and practice with the Ziess.I honestly don't know if I will get a chance to, the work schedual so far doesn't look to good for me, to allow for switching them all over and practice.I have a mandatory 6 payed weeks of work off, but as everyone knows if you don't want to be behind and stressed out when you get back you have to stress yourself out, work three times harder, and still make it all make it right before you leave. So yeah, right
now I guess my answer is Leupold.. The VXIII...and the straight 6X
Classic!!!LOL.Husqvarna 3006 mounted with Leupold 6X is my goto hunting rifle. My Browning A- Bolt Stainless Stalker .338 is mounted with Leupold 1.5 x 6 power Custom Sako .311 CAN Imperial Mag is mounted with Leupold 2.5 -10 VXIII. These Rifles each have 3x9 Zeiss Conquest waiting for them.

My current favorite rifles (couldn't narrow it to 1) and scopes are...

Remington 700 BDL LH in .270 Win with a 3-9x40 Swift (I have several of these scopes...I prefer them far more than the Leapould's and they are 1/2 of less the $$)

Tikka T-3 stainless lite in 270 WSM topped with a 3-9x50 Nikon Monarch...really love this scope as well and gathers light nicely @ dawn/dusk.

Well they aren't really "back"...Leapould bought them and manufacturers them now...they too will become more expensive than their true value as did Leapould.

Zeiss Conquest 1.8-5.5X38mm has served me well predator hunting the low light canopy of the Central Oregon Coast range.......impressive optics.

Regardless of which rifle I chose (couldn't do it in reality) I would keep a Shepherd Scope on it for all around hunting and shooting purposes.
