Leupold hands down for quality for the cost, dependability and warranty. Yet to meet very many people who have tried a Leupold and left it. Yet, they usually don't say that with other brands.

I agree!! I use a Nikon Monarch 3-10x50, and it is incredible.

If I was going to try something else it would be a Leupold VX-III with the same specs as my Nikon.

Well I see that I am in the minority when it comes to scopes. I don't have anything against the Bushnells or Leupolds. I have had Tascos for 24 years, 3-9 x 40mm, and have never had one fail me. Of course maybe when I got them they were better built. Don't know about any newer Tascos. I have all of my topped off with Butler Creek Blizzard see through scope covers. Since I am reluctant to let go of money, I stick with the Tasco scopes. Not that I can afford the high dollar scopes...being married with two boys I don't have the luxury of buying the higher dollar scopes. So for someone watching a budget, you can't beat Tasco scopes.

Now my son has a Nikon scope and this year it fogged up on him. On the inside, so now it is off to the factory for refurbishing.

Rats. I sent a Nikon Monarch back, they had it for 5 months and did nothing, as far as I can tell. They are off my list.

im plenty happy with my 6x42mm NcStar i have a few of my rifles topped with one, and i have had absolutely no troubles with any of them. and they are just as crisp and clear as any of my leupolds and nikons and in low light they work great. though I favor leupolds for their lifetime warranty and the fact they are made in the USA, I just cant complain a bit about NcStar optics.
