Default wildcat round --- Whacha think?

Sitting here last night and was looking at different shooting sites when all of a sudden it hit me.[8D]

A 50-338 Lapua mag. Or maybe a 458-338 Lapua mag. Load them with Barnes TSX bullets or North fork bullets.

Anyone every heard of anyone making one of these? Maybe it will be something for a big project later on in life.

I have a 50 / 460 I think JD Jones started it ,some call it a 500 peace keeper . It is built on a Savage action . I am trying Hornday 750 gr . I am getting 4"-5"groups at 600 yds

You can check out the .50 Peacekeeper at SSK Industries. Scroll down, they have two of the cartridges to either side of a .50 BMG round for comparison. Just above it the .510 Whisper, which also has the .460 Wby for the parent case, but the case is cut down to 2" of length before being necked to accept .510" projectiles.
