Default SCOPE HELP

bought a VX1(2x7x33) scope on ebay, the seller sent me a rifleman( 2x7x33) scope by mistake. He is willing to refund my money & shipping. my question is there much of a difference between the 2, should I keep what I have? I will be mounting this on a 450 marlin-----is either scope strong enough to handle the punishment?

thanks

The main difference between the two are....

VX-I............ multi coated optics and 1/4 minute of angle adjustment
Rifleman...... single coated optics and 1/2 minute of angle adjustments.

How much did you pay for it?

I would probably send it back to him for a replacement or refund.

I would go with the VXI instead. The rifleman scope is at the bottom of the ladder as for quality and price. The rifleman does have a Leupold full lifetime guarantee same as other scopes but I don"™t like the 1/2"¯MOA increments. After reading what bigbull said I had to check it out for my self. He was right on the MOA. That would be way to much adjustment for my liking. I much prefer 1/4"¯ and or 1/8"¯ for fine tuning.

As for recoil Leupold states that all of there scopes must pass an impact test and that no competitive brands has never passed the Leupold"™s test. This impact test replicates nearly any kind of rifle. So I guess it safe to say that the scopes witch ever model you decide can handle the 450 Marlin. Good luck..

That sounds like a pretty good price! I'd send the Rifleman back, the VX-I is the better of the two!
