348 for deer

Hi I will be using and Winchester Model 71 348 for deer season this year. I am shooting Winchester 348 200gr. Silvertips. I will be in a swamp so I will not have a shot longer than a 100 yrds I was wondering if anyone has used one befor and did you like it.

Bobby you are shooting one of the all-time greats,I wish they still chambered this round.I have used one for deer and elk in the timber where shots were no more than 200 yds and it worked great.The 200 gr. Silver-tips will do the job nicley.

You are all set. The 348 lays 'em out. Which 71 do you have, rifle, carbine, original or new?

The Model 71 is a great rifle and the .348 Winchester will work on anything on this continent. Enjoy your hunt!
