Default To those searching for .204 ammunition, FYI...

I have been trying to buy .204 ammunition through Hornady directly. They indicated to me they will not take orders from consumers until Mid 2005, but they sent me the following email:

The demand for these rounds has been much greater than we ever anticipated. At this time, we will not be shipping any 204 Ruger ammunition to our retail customers; we will be shipping it solely to our distributors. We will be canceling the orders we have in-house now but hope to be able to serve our retail customers directly by mid-2005. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you. I have listed a number of mail-order places for you to call. For those of you who had the 40gr 204 ordered, call The Shooting Shop at 931-503-0771. They informed us they had "plenty on the shelf ready to ship".

Hi Everyone:

I received some email insinuating I am disparaging Hornady. This is not the case.

Hornady went FAR beyond the level of service I expected by providing a list of vendors and telephone numbers that could ship their products. I posted the email so folks wanting ammunition might be able to find it.

How in the world did somebody get "disparaging Hornady" out of that?

I talked to a few reps of Hornady while at the NRA annual convention in Pittsburgh. What a great bunch of guys. They were very informative and very pleasant. I can't say the same about some of the other reps i met there. I won't Disparage them though! It was quite hectic at the convention, alot of people there swarming for the free stuff, so I will give the others the benefit of the doubt. The public (us/we) can be real trying at times
