IMHO, for us as gun owners and hunters, not all democrats are our enemies, not all republicans are our friends ---

The difference between Republicans and Democrats?
One is in and the other one wants in.

The similarity between Republicans and Democrats?
Both will all tell the public anything necessary in order to "get in."

Truth is generally the first casualty in war and politics. It takes a smart (hopefully) populance to "sort it out."

ELKampMaster is correct! Not all Republicans are the friends of gunowners, not all Democrats are enemies. John McCain (R-AZ) and John Chaffe (R-RI) come to mind. They both ACTIVELY seek to steal your civil rights regarding firearm ownership.

The REAL difference? Democrats will tax your last cent away from you, and use it to buy votes to get themselves re-elected. Republicans will tax your last cent away from you and use it to buy votes to get themselves re-elected. Then the Republican will tell you how sorry he is for taking your money.

I pretty much agree with EKM on this one but Kerry as a senator has an "F" voting record when it comes to firearm legislation. All it takes is a Dem majority in the house and were back to square one.
