Bent barrel on BSA Supersport .22
Hi. About a month ago I purchased a new BSA Supersport .22 air rifle an immediately noticed that it seemed to fire unusually high. At a range of 50 metres with a 9X telescopic sight the rifle is firing up to a metre beyond the adjustements of the sight so obviously zeroing it is out of the question. I rang the dealer who supplied the rifle and they essentially said that the problem was my fault and that I had fired off the rifle while open. However, I have never done this since I am always careful to apply the safety catch before cocking and the wooden furniture of the rifle is in pristine condition showing no signs of any cracks to suggest this was the problem. Does anybody have any ideas on what could have caused this considering it has never been dropped, stood on etc. and is always kept stranding up in a case. Additionally, where do I stand in terms of getting the problem sorted by a dealer? Many thanks in advance for any help.
