Default problems with Remington ammo in my Glock

I bought a Glock 19 9mm about 3 months ago and have taken it to the range quite a few times. For all of you Glock owners out there, have you had problems with Remington UMC ammo? I only shot Remington once because it jammed about 3 times through the course of a box. I've shot a ton of Winchester through it and never had a problem, though. Anyone have any insight?

I have never had problems with glocks and UMC, but could see how it could happen. Those UMC's are loaded to almost min pressure.

Hey Aggie,

I had that problem with my Glock 29 shooting those same rem. umc's. Surprised me too. The 29 has a double recoil spring so I can understand why those underpowered rounds were jamming on me. [:'(]

My Glocks never had a problem with any load I tried in them. I have had the The 45, 10mm, 40s&w and 9mm. The 10 MM was the best shooter of all of them for accuracy followed closely by the 40 S&W. The 45 was a bowling pin killer. It held more shells than the Colts

Could it possibly be due to your shooting form?
Glocks like to be held very firm...no limp wristing as this can cause feeding problems.

The same thing happens inthe Steyr M40. UMC is garbage, IMHO. I stick to Winchester and Federal.

Never had a problem. I use UMC in my 45 glock. All I can think of that would cause a problem would be a dirty, or not polished feed ramp. Pull back the action and see if the feed ramp is clean. If it is clean, then see if it is polished smooth. If it is not smooth you can polish it with some very fine 400 + wet dry sand paper.

Something else to consider, UMC is not a high pressure load. The return spring might be too strong for that load.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I think that it must be simply the low pressure of the loads. I clean after every trip to the range, so the ramp shouldn't have been too dirty, though I didn't have problems at first, so the buildup from the 100 or so rounds may have effected it. Also, fatigue may have added to the problem. Thanks again.

I'm telling you Aggie, it's that ammo bro. Glock has conducted firing test consisting of thousands of rounds of fire without cleaning and still no malfunction.

I too have had a problem w/jamming, But in a S&W.40 sigma And I was using Winchester 180 gr cleanbore soft points. Don't know how their loaded But it would jam at least once every clip...(15 rnds) I smoothed the ramp down But still Jammed. So I Tried Federal 165 GR hollow points and it stopped. So I Don't know if it is ammo Or just some sort of incompatibility with pressure? But i would like to know...
