Default STUCK EJECTOR!! NEED HELP (James B. or anyone else with a handi

OK guys. I was out shooting the handi today in my 7mm-08. I can honestly vouch for getting around 200 rounds through the rifle before it begins to come into its own. The last two times I have shot it I have got the best groups yet. And the last two times it has held its POI instead of scattering. Today shot 1" groups at 100 yards over the hood of my truck( not the steadiest of places) but I was very pleased. On my very last round when I opened the action ot eject, it didn't eject. I thought i would get in in the house and just push out the spent case with the cleaning rod , which I done, but no ejector coming out. I used a gunsmith screwdriver right inside the barel where the ejector engages the case and tried to open it and could move it, but it wouldn't open. How do I get this open??? Any body thats encoutered this and I would beleive many from the old NEF board, please chime in here and give me some advice. Thanks
Brian

if you can find a hard wood dowl that is near .284 cal you might be able to knock it out. if you had a dirty cartridge that might have been the problem.

I had a similar problem with my Handi, but in .223. My problem was ammo. The PMC's I was shooting were expanding SLIGHTLY in the chamber and wouldn't eject. I had to drive them out with a cleaning rod. I found that if I put a touch of grease on them, it never happened. BUT, I found that it made more sense to switch ammo, which I did.

Your ejector may indeed be dirty or over-greased. Just keep opening and closing it...making sure to dry fire it so that the ejector knows to throw the shell.

I had a few unfire ones that wouldn't eject but after they were fire then then kicked out. Clean the extracter area good.

Are you shooting reloads, if so how long has it been since you trimmed the cases?
