I have a 4X Leupold on mine. For deer hunting I prefer no more than 4X on a handgun.

I have a 2x leupold on my redhawk. I like the low power cause it reminds me that I'm limited in range. I also use it with both eyes open and am starting to like it more and more. It did take a little getting used too.

If you're in the "woods", I'd go with a 4X Leupold or a Nikon 1.5-5. Both are quality scopes.

I would mount a Burris Handgun 1.5-4x20 Posi-Lock (PL) on your handgun. Good luck.

I have a Ruger 454 and use a Millet red dot scope. I've shot a 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards with this setup. I also put double sided tape in the bottom scope rings. this will prevent your scope from shifting from recoil. Jim
