Default installing swevel studs

How would I go about instaling swivel studs on a synthetic stock? Im worried about the stock spliting.

Default RE: installing swevel studs

Take off the recoil pad. There should be a small piece of wood for the stud to screw in to. You won't be able to see it but there is one in the fore end as well or there is some built up plastic depending on what the stock is made of.

Drill the hole first and install the stud. The stock shouldn't crack unless you have gorilla arms.
