Ruger 44 Deerefield Carbine

I am looking to buy a Ruger 44 Deerifeld carbine for shooting deer inside of 100 yds.. Anybody own one of the guns? If so, any likes, dislikes, shortcomming of the caliber? Appreciate any help.

I have that gun and love it. It is probably my favorite gun to shoot. Low recoil, quick handling, and quite accurate. I just put on a tasco pro point 3 red dot scope, should be a perfect sight for a gun like this. I'd say 100 , maybe 150 yard range tops she really drops off after that. Took a decent Doe with it 2 years ago at about 75 yards and dropped her like a ton o bricks.

If your looking for a fun, light, quick handling gun with quick follow up shots can't imagine you could do much better.
