I'd check their websight... www.savagearms.com I'm guessing about $575.00

Hi Huntsalotey,

I'm not sure about down your way...but we frequently can find Savages for less than retail around here. (Westmoreland County, PA) Not very far north of you, but I'd imagine the same to be true in your neck of the woods.

Good luck!

I just picked up a model 16fss at a local gun shop for $375.00 new!! I did alot of looking but the prices ranged only from $375.00 to about $450.00 at most.

Total cost w/ scope(Leupold vxII), rings,bases and tax on all $ 700.00

Now if I could only get the bullets to stop going through the same hole???[]

I would highly recomend you go with the accu-trigger line. I would look at the model 12fvss or laminant in the 12bvss. This is a bull barrel varmit gun which is heavier. I just bought one in 22-250 for $500 with a shelf price around here of $519-$549. It's worth the money as the old savage triggers are the only thing not to be desired. Savage is by far the best "discount" rifle on the market. Best out f the box accuracy their is.
