new 45 pistol load

I was watching one of the shooting shows that recently aired and commentator was talking about a new load for the 45acp that from what I could catch was not a true 45acp but mirrored the stats and handling of the smaller frame 9mm handguns. I am not a handgunner but a I mentioned this to a friend who shoots the gold cup in competition and he was very interested. If anyone has any info on this I would like to pass it on. Thanks

This should read pistol/load as the conversation was about a team effort in the mfgr of the pistol to the new load. Hope that helps a bit.

I recently read about a new cartridge called the 45 Glock. Based on a shorter 45acp case, but with nearly the same performance, and able to be used in 9mm sized frames. Hope that helps.

Yeap .45gap would be the round. They shortned the round so that it could fit in the 9mm & .40S&W size frames. The newest Glock is a Glock 37. It's frame is the same size as the 17/22 allowing people with smaller hands a more comfortable hold on a .45. Only thing I don't like is that the slide is the same size as the 21 with a beveled bottom.
