RE: custom mini 14
2" groups are not normal for a mini, it is excellent. 4-6" is about average, the barrel stabilizers basicly just stiffen a poor quality barrel, and help it shoot better. I had 2 mini's done by ars and they are now sub-moa rifles. Mine have had lothar-walther stainless match barrels on them. one is a 24" 223, the other a 20" 6mmPPC. though accuracy is now astounding for a mini, it is expensive to get them to shoot that well. Brownells also stocks bull barrels that you could have your smith install, clean up the trigger and bed the stock and your in the ball game for 200 yd varmints. If you have the cash for another mini and a half you could have ARS or ASI do a heavy barrel conversion. last one I had done in 95 I think was 800.00 american. if they weren't restricted in BC you could go the AR route much cheaper and have a better rifle.
